Races Overview

The Utopian world consists of eight different races, each of which has benefits and drawbacks. When you create an account, you will select one of them and combine it with one of nine available Personalities. Once the game starts, your choice is final. You will be given the opportunity to "reset" your province before the official game starts.

Choosing a Race

You may choose one of the following: Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, Faeries, Halflings, Avians, or Undead. Each race has pros and cons. You should take the time and think about what style of play best suits you: are you an attacker? Are you a thief? Perhaps a mage? Maybe you are a combination of one or more of the above. While you may certainly experiment, be aware that once the game starts, your choice is final for the age you joined.

Attacker vs. Thief and/or Mage

Once you have made a decision, you should focus on the role you have chosen. Regardless of your choice, review of the race and personality combination benefits and drawbacks. The myth that attackers have far more fun than thieves and/or mages is just that: a myth. You can have fun with whatever combination you choose, and while you may stumble and make mistakes, it is ultimately your level of dedication and willingness to learn or share that will make your time in Utopia a time to remember and enjoy.
