Home : The Great Utopian WarThe Great Utopian War is a unique one-time tournament environment in which approximately 8,000 players were randomly placed in a kingdom and have the opportunity to compete in a series of wars until only one kingdom is left standing. All players signed up in advance of the game starting - once kingdoms are assigned, no more players will be allowed into the game. The game is designed to get more difficult as time passes and is estimated to last several months. This game is truly about teamwork. It is up to kingdoms to become a functioning unit quickly and kingdom mates are impelled to support one another. Followers may learn to lead and leaders may learn to follow. Lacking a cooperative kingdom, chances of survival are limited. The colossal challenge is how to handle these circumstances and survive in this ruthless environment as a kingdom, not as an individual. Specific RulesFollowing are the specific rules for the Great Utopian War environment: All players start with 1,000 acres of land. The kingdom explore pool is 1,000 acres and rises very slowly. Players may not defect - it is up to the kingdom to learn to work together. Vacation mode is only 3 days and can only be used once every two weeks. Weaker version of Paradise Spell. No combat, magic, or thievery outside of war.
Once a kingdom has three losses, it is eliminated. In addition, if there are an odd number of kingdoms when the next war period begins, the smallest remaining kingdom is eliminated. Wars will commence between kingdoms based on a variety of factors, which include, but are not limited to, war record, net worth, and land. Random events may take place as the environment becomes harsher. Environment SetupWhile players were randomly placed in kingdoms, the only choices they were allowed to make were race and personality. A survey of this environment shows that forty-six percent of the players are Undead, fifteen percent are Dwarves, twelve percent are Faeries, ten percent are Orcs, five percent are Elves, and four percent are Halflings, while Humans and Avian are three percent, respectively. The personalities of choice are Merchant and War Hero.
