Genesis

Genesis is a developmental game. This server offers shorter games and a variation of game style from World of Legends. Each round on Genesis has customized rules unique to this game and is meant as a testing grounds for Swirve's Utopia development. Genesis is open to a limited number of users and may have restrictions on sign-ups.The one rule you must obey is that you are allowed to create only one province on this server. A player with multiple accounts will be deleted. While the Guide is the starting point, please read through the specific variations listed later on this page.

While there is no given timeframe for this environment, each age lasts between two and three months. At the beginning of a n ew Genesis age, the Utopian Lords modify the game environment to test new approaches. Such changes are usually posted in the Utopian Forums, under Announcements.

Unlike World of Legends, players do not have the option to stay in their kingdom at the end of a Genesis age and are shuffled with each new round.

Unique rules for Genesis

There are no island penalties, less action is required to start war, networth is shown only for provinces larger than 100,000 gold coins, and provinces cannot reset themselves at game start.

The time ticks differently on Genesis, 30 minutes ahead of World of Legends: while in World of Legends a utopian day is, for example, from 1 to 2 pm, on Genesis the utopian day is from 1.30 to 2.30 pm.

Genesis gaming changes

Humans have access to Aggression, Faery and Elf spells are switched, thievery operations are easier against provinces of the same race (Elf vs. Elf, Halfling vs. Halfling, etc.)
